Walkers

  

To the sky they walk

Trees,

Standing so still on earth.

An upright way of walking,

Spreading their arms

Embracing the skyward freedom.

 

Do they dream of touching the clouds,

Competing

In a growing-up contest?

 

Just like us,

The horizontal walkers

Dreamers

Sleepers

Seekers

Of our sweetest dreams.
